Mission

We connect everyone to the dynamic history, cultures, and art of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders through vivid storytelling and inspiring experiences to advance racial and social equity.

Description

The Wing Luke Museum is an art and history museum located in Seattle's Chinatown-International District, serving a broad public audience that includes immigrants, refugees, as well as low-income students and families. Through our community-driven programming, the Museum works to empower the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community to tell our own stories, build community, and share our experiences with others.

GiveBig 2025

In a year where the safety, identities, and belonging of so many people are being questioned, the Wing Luke Museum reaffirms its commitment to preserving and sharing the histories of marginalized communities of color. As stated in the text of one of our newest exhibits, Lost & Found : "Belonging means protection, validation, and the opportunity to build a secure and meaningful life. Belonging allows us to feel secure about our identities and that no matter where our lives take us, we will always have a place we can return to for support and healing. "

We're proud to stand with our AANHPI community, to tell centuries' worth of stories where despite laws, leaders, and circumstances dictating otherwise, marginalized communities have found ways to be resilient, to resist, and to thrive. And, we're proud to support programming, arts, and civic engagement work that help make our communities feel that they, too, belong here.

This GiveBig, consider making a gift to ensure that the Wing Luke Museum's efforts of boldly amplifying AANHPI community stories and being a haven of belonging can continue for the years to come.
