Overview

Washington Alliance for Better Schools (WABS) is a nonprofit working to close opportunity gaps for students furthest from opportunity in 14 Washington school districts. Guided by the belief that “If you see it, you can be it,” WABS connects K-12 students with career and post-secondary pathways that provide family-sustaining wages and upward mobility. With only 40% of WA students earning post-secondary credentials - compared to 75% of jobs requiring them - our programs address a critical need, especially for students furthest from opportunity. 

WABS offer immersive career connected learning experiences that engage students in real-world problem-solving and connect them with industry mentors. Our holistic approach also includes programs for educators and families. Impacting over 20,000 participants annually, WABS is the only organization in our region providing these services at no cost, ensuring equitable access to meaningful, sustainable education and career opportunities.
