Volunteers of America Western Washington is a Christian faith-in-action organization. Our mission is to empower people and strengthen communities in need, guided by core values of respect, integrity, stewardship and empathy. We are united in service to God and humanity with a vision to build healthy, safe communities where all people enjoy self-sufficient, fulfilled lives.  For 125 years, Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW) has been rooted in the tradition of compassionate, holistic services that address some of our communities’ most important human service issues.  Our programs serve children in low-income families, vulnerable individuals, seniors and people living with disabilities.  Our services are all designed to create safe, stable, and healthy communities that put our neighbors on the path to self-sufficiency. 

VOAWW serves the Western Washington/Puget Sound region through 8 service areas: Food, Shelter, Behavioral Health, Disability Services, Dispute Resolution, Community Resource Centers, Senior Services and Preschool. Through these programs, we equip children, adults, and families to resolve problems, access basic needs, overcome adversity, build sustainable skills, and pursue their goals as they journey towards stability.  

Our organization dedicated to good stewardship of resources entrusted to us, and 92 cents of every dollar goes directly to our programs and services. Our success reflects the extraordinary commitment and passion of staff, volunteers and donors, who make it possible for us to do our best work.
