Vashon Senior Center is a community gathering place for older adults and those who care about them. Vashon-Maury Island is both rural and isolated. With a median age of 53 years, Vashon-Maury Island has the highest percentage of older adults in King County. 

Nearly half of Vashon's 11,000 people are 55 or over. Over 25% are 65 and older.

At Vashon Senior Center, we help seniors enjoy lives full of 

friendship, good health, community and connection. 

A few highlights of what we do:

• Serve or deliver 70+ fresh, hot meals and delicious salads every Monday, Wednesday & Friday
• Offer 30+ activities every week that keep bodies, minds and spirits healthy, including Zumba, Spinal Mobility, Wild Walks, Mah Jongg, Bridge, Music Mends Minds, Foot Care, Haircuts, Talks & Classes, End of Life Planning, clubs and so much more

PLUS:

Senior Center Village: The Village supports seniors with living independently at home as long as possible, with:

• Village Bluebird rides to medical and other appointments
• Chore help at home, tech coaching, friendly visits and more

How We Do It All: The Senior Center has a small, nimble staff and a volunteer corps of over 140 amazing individuals, many of them seniors themselves. While we receive grants, we rely on individual donations from people like you.
