Meeting the greatest needs
of our community
At Valley Medical Center, our mission is to care for our community like family. Valley's Greatest Need Fund provides resources for a variety of needs, including financial assistance for uninsured or under insured patients, patient needs not covered by insurance (prescriptions, etc.) and vital hospital and clinic projects not covered by other directed funds. These unrestricted gifts provide the flexibility to support the most immediate needs at Valley and make a lasting difference in caring for our patients.

As part of our commitment to care for all, Valley underwrote $41.5 million in care and services during fiscal year 2024. We remain dedicated to ensuring we serve all populations within our community with respect and compassion.
Caring for neighbors in need
Cherished by generations of South King County residents as a place where families can be assured of outstanding, compassionate care, Valley is proud of our deep and impactful roots in our local community.
Valley conducts Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) regularly to verify the largest health needs in our service area. The resulting Implementation Strategy guides how our programs and activities can create deep impacts. The 2023 CHNA identified Access to Care, Behavioral Health, and Chronic Health Conditions as top needs, with cancer identified as the number one cause of illness in our service area. This information will guide our work in the coming years.
