Transplant House's mission is to provide safe, affordable, and fully furnished housing for transplant and immunocompromised patients and their families who must travel to Seattle for life-saving care.

Description

Transplant and immunocompromised patients often need to relocate to Seattle for weeks or months to receive specialized care. For many, hotels are too expensive, and short-term rentals aren’t designed with medical needs in mind. Transplant House fills this gap by offering fully furnished, affordable apartments located just minutes from Seattle’s major hospitals - UW Medicine, Seattle Children's, Swedish, Fred Hutch, Virginia Mason, The Veterans Healthcare Administration (VHA). 

Transplant House of Seattle offers 62 fully furnished, affordable apartments including 31 units reserved for families receiving care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. 

Transplant House offers a warm, supportive community where patients and their families can connect through shared meals, seasonal events, and meaningful activities. From weekly gatherings in our common spaces to special programs like art workshops, peer support meetups, and donor-hosted celebrations, each experience fosters belonging and emotional restoration. 

Your support helps us provide a safe and comfortable place for our guests to call home while receiving care. Donations to Transplant House can help us provide financial assistance to those who may not qualify for Medicaid services or insurance coverage and provide the extra support that is so necessary.

Transplant House is more than a place to stay, it’s a community built by people who have been personally impacted by the transplant process. Surrounded by compassion and understanding, families find not only a comfortable home, but a community with shared understanding and a place to belong. 

Since 2006 we have been a place where families can focus on their healing, not housing.
