Mission

The IDEA Project is a non-profit organization that provides interactive disability education and awareness in schools. Our goal is to create understanding and empathy by educating students about disabilities and showing them what it feels like to have a disability.

Description

What if we understood each other's differences?

The IDEA Project in-school curriculum directly addresses the need to create empathy among students, understanding of their peers with disabilities, and promote school cultures of inclusion across all students. The IDEA Project's disability awareness program kicks off with a group assembly by grade-level, followed by individual activity stations, all of which are tailored to meet the developmental stage and grade level of the students. The program introduces students to the idea of differences, and what it is actually like to have different abilities.
