Mission

Since 1997, Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) has been the backbone of the Puget Sound’s vibrant performing arts scene. TPS is not a theatre company, we're the organization that helps all of them do what they do. TPS is an essential hub, advocating fiercely for performing artists and providing the resources, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive. From professional development to subsidized rehearsal and performance spaces, we are the infrastructure that keeps this community alive and well.

Our mission is to foster a robust, inclusive, and equitable performing arts community. As we continue the vital work of becoming an anti-racist organization, TPS is committed to processes, programs, and policies that serve the entire community, especially those most impacted by systemic inequities in our field. We invite and encourage meaningful dialogue, education, and action around race, social justice, and anti-racist practices.

Signal Boosting our Member Organizations:

Starting this Giving Tuesday, we’re celebrating the vibrant performing arts community that makes our region extraordinary.

From artists and creative teams to the organizations that bring bold ideas to life, our community thrives because of collective passion and support.

This year, Theatre Puget Sound is taking Giving Tuesday and the holiday season as an opportunity to spotlight our member organizations. We're amplifying their work, their missions, and their fundraising efforts. By lifting up these companies, we all strengthen the entire ecosystem that makes the arts in our region so powerful. Make sure to check out TPS' social media to follow our member organizations and donate directly to them as well.

Thank you to everyone who champions and supports the performing arts. Together, we keep this community thriving.

Invest in the artistic health of our region!

After the success of our SAVETPS Campaign, TPS is alive and thriving. For 26 years, we’ve brought together thousands of artists, organizations, and producers across the region. We connect people, create opportunities, and keep the arts community connected.

Right now, the arts are facing serious challenges. That’s why having a strong, independent organization like TPS is more important than ever. We help hold things together, but we need your help to keep doing it.

When you support TPS, you’re not just donating — you’re investing in the creative soul of our region. You’re helping us:

  • Host StageWorkers Week (Unified General Auditions, Tech & Design Job Fair, Playwright Pitches)

  • Celebrate excellence through The Gregory Awards

  • Offer deeply affordable rehearsal and performance spaces through our Space4Arts program

  • Connect artists to organizations and opportunities

  • Publish weekly audition and job postings for working artists

With your help, we can keep the Puget Sound arts scene strong and vibrant. Your donation supports artists, lifts up underrepresented voices, and keeps creativity alive in our communities.

🎭 TPS is for all of us. Make your gift today and  help shape the future of local performing arts and be a part of something bigger than any one stage.
