Mission

TINFA empowers teachers to bring 21st century skills to children in under-served areas of the world, specifically in rural Guatemala

Description

In rural Guatemala, many children still face major barriers to continuing their education beyond 6th grade—barriers that profoundly affect their futures and the well‑being of their communities. Girls are especially at risk, with higher dropout rates and fewer opportunities to continue their studies. TINFA is committed to helping change this reality.

Through partnerships with rural schools, TINFA provides laptops, reliable internet access, hands‑on teacher training —ensuring that technology is meaningfully integrated into daily learning. We also offer scholarships, with a special focus on supporting girls, to help remove financial obstacles to attendance. In 2025, 81% of students in TINFA‑supported schools advanced to middle school—an impressive result compared to other rural schools in Guatemala.

Your support makes this progress possible. Together, we can continue opening doors for children in rural Guatemala through education—creating pathways to confidence, opportunity, and lifelong impact.

Our goal for GiveBig 2026 is $10,000 and this year a generous group of donors will match 100% of your contribution up to $10,000!

TINFA firmly believes that giving children in underserved areas an opportunity to improve their education and skills will greatly contribute to their ability to support their family and their community.

Together we can help children keep learning, paving brighter futures in rural Guatemala.
