STUDIO EAST Training for the Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing education and performance opportunities for children in Kirkland, WA and surrounding communities for over 29 years.
Studio East Mission: To create confident, compassionate, responsible young people through training in the art and craft of theater.
Our priority is the social, emotional, and educational development of each child. Our students learn responsibility, discipline, and focus. They explore their creativity and their humanity. They learn to rely on themselves, to work with others, and to find joy and confidence in self-expression. By exploring other lives and ideas through theater, they become more compassionate human beings.
Studio East has become one of the largest children's theater training programs in the Seattle Metro area serving over 60,000 people annually. Our Access for All program was created to ensure that no child is turned away for lack of funds and provided over $30,000 in scholarships and work study credit last year.
Studio East has a comprehensive program of homeschool and after-school theater classes, performing arts summer camps, and Mainstage productions for children ages 4 through 19. For two decades, the organization has offered Outreach programs to over 30 public and private schools. Studio East is also home to StoryBook Theater, an adult professional touring troupe with performances across the Puget Sound Region.
You can play a role in continuing to ensure Access for All by making a tax-deductible contribution today. Your gift of any size will have a profound impact.
