Good Cheer is working to create a hunger-free community

Central to Good Cheer's mission is the idea that asking for and receiving help is part of being in a supportive community. We believe that every person has worth and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Open five days a week, our Food Bank on South Whidbey Island operates on a choice-based model where clients can select the foods that best suit their unique needs and preferences.

Thriving thrift stores support the food bank and give back

Our thrift stores provide affordable clothing and household items for the broader community in addition to supporting the food bank. Each year we also give away thousands of dollars in merchandise through our Community Connections program, Child's Chance to Give event, "10 for $10" monthly clothing sale, and more. For more than 50 years, our store in downtown Langley has served as a beacon of community pride.
