Protect and Sustain Your Community Libraries!
The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation mobilizes people and resources to expand the reach of library services, promote civic engagement, and foster a lifetime of learning.
Since 2000, as the philanthropic arm of Sno-Isle Libraries, the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation has partnered with individuals, businesses, foundations, corporations, and community organizations to support vital library programs and services serving over 800,000 residents of Snohomish and Island counties.
What your GiveBIG donation makes possible
We invest in early literacy programs, such as Third Graders Read Together, which enables 7,000 students each year to discover the joy of reading; Summer Reading, which helps 15,000 kids and teens annually to improve their reading skills while on summer break; and World Languages Storytime, which engages hundreds of children from bilingual families with Storytimes in languages other than English.
We fund lifelong learning programs, such as Sno-Isle Reads Together, which engages thousands of avid readers around one selected book, and the annual Trudy Sundberg Lecture Series, which brings eminent speakers to the Whidbey Island community.
We help enrich the library collection, fund capital improvements districtwide, including the recent remodels of the Langley and Darrington Libraries, support the annual lease expenses for the Mariner and Lakewood/Smokey Point demonstration libraries, help fund author talks, programs for people of all ages, Discover Passes, and so much more!
Thank you for making these and many other life-changing library programs possible with your generous support!
