$7,500 Goal

SEEDArts is Southeast Seattle’s stage, canvas, and studio.

We’re the nonprofit behind the South End’s dedicated, hyperlocal cultural facilities and programs: Rainier Arts Center, Columbia City Gallery, the Columbia Hillman Arts & Cultural District, SEEDArts Studios, and some of our neighborhood’s most beloved public art. Our mission is to build community by presenting diverse arts experiences, nurturing local artists, and infusing creativity into our neighborhoods.

We envision a world where all Southeast Seattle artists and residents have what they need to express their truth, bring joy and connection to their communities, and make their living from their creative endeavors.

Please GIVE NOW to keep these programs strong!

SEEDArts offers our community’s creatives the tools, resources, and support they need to flourish:

  • Rainier Arts Center: A multicultural performance venue for music, dance, theater, film, comedy, and cultural events, serving community-based performing arts organizations and youth. The Anchor Partners program provides a long-term home base for small, grassroots organizations that have been displaced or otherwise wouldn’t have a space to call their own.
  • Columbia City Gallery: An artists’ cooperative and one of the few destinations for exhibiting and experiencing visual art in Southeast Seattle. The Gallery showcases artists who reflect the South End’s diversity and address issues relevant to our communities in their work, expanding opportunities for underrepresented and historically excluded voices.
  • SEEDArts Studios: Affordable workspaces for artists and creative entrepreneurs in Hillman City.
  • Public & Community Arts: Integrating the arts into everyday life in Southeast Seattle, including community-driven public art projects and networking opportunities for artists.

This is an exciting moment at SEEDArts, full of possibility and renewal.

We’re advancing new models for preserving and creating access to cultural space, rooted in values of racial equity and community leadership and ownership. In partnership with two community organizations, we recently purchased three buildings in Hillman City and are converting them into workspaces for artists, cultural organizations, and creative entrepreneurs, forming a hub where folks can create and collaborate. This will become the first community-owned, permanently affordable art space in the South End.

Your donation, of any size, is valued and needed in this work!

Our GiveBIG goal is to raise $7,500 from 75 donors. SEEDArts is our community's platform, gathering place, and creative resource – and we rely on our community to keep going. Whether you're able to give $15 or $1,500, your support is essential.

Thank you!
