Everyone Deserves to Feel Safe, Supported, and Connected

At the Y, we meet people where they are — helping youth and families build the skills, stability, and confidence they need to thrive.

Each year, more than 205,000 neighbors turn to the Y for nourishment, safety, and belonging. Your support helps provide hundreds of thousands of meals, stable housing for young adults, and programs that help people build skills, strengthen well-being, and grow in confidence. At the Y, community comes together — and you are part of what makes that possible.

Safety Around Water Starts Here

As we head into spring and summer, time around water increases — and so does the importance of water safety.

For Claudia, her granddaughter Brooke, and their grandmother Brenda, learning to swim at the Y was about more than a skill. It was about safety, confidence, and showing up for one another.

Together, they faced fears, built confidence, and gained lifesaving skills that will stay with them for years to come.

“It’s never too late,” Brenda shared. “If you’re determined enough, you can learn anything.”

Watch their story and see the impact of water safety in action.

Beyond the Pool

Because of your generosity, this work reaches far beyond water safety:

  • Thousands of kids and teens build skills and confidence through sports, leadership, and outdoor programs
  • More than 630 neighbors strengthen their health through chronic disease prevention programs
  • 1,664 people access mental health counseling and support when they need it most

Your support makes all of this possible — helping neighbors build safety, stability, and well-being in every season.

Mission

Building a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body.
