Seattle Wind Symphony is a premiere wind band in the Pacific Northwest, connecting people in the greater Seattle and Puget Sound community through vibrant, accessible, and captivating performances. We strive to engage our community through presenting a diverse array of composers and music styles, including works by living composers, women composers, LGBTQIA+ composers, and BIPOC composers.  Concert attendees should feel uplifted, engaged, and validated from our concerts and presentations.

Our volunteer musicians donate their time and talent to bring our performances to life.  Your support and attendance inspires us to continue to pursue musical excellence.

A typical concert season includes 4 performances at various locations around the greater Seattle community between October and May, and an Independence Day-themed performance in July at Benaroya Hall - the Star-Spangled Spectacular.  This annual concert is offered for free to the community - and we couldn't do it without your support!

Mission

Seattle Wind Symphony is dedicated to the presentation of professional quality symphonic wind music to the general public, educators and students. Our program philosophy is to perform time tested, professional and compelling literature that is engaging for both audience and musicians alike. As an audition ensemble we are intentional about providing an opportunity for the finest wind, brass and percussion instrumentalists to perform. Seattle Wind Symphony endeavors to be an instrument of hope for young musicians by modeling high music and performance standards.
