Mission

The Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SPSI), founded in 1948, trains mental health clinicians to provide psychoanalytic treatment. SPSI serves individuals and organizations in the community through educational outreach, consultation, research, and reduced fee psychoanalytic treatment. SPSI is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Psychoanalytic Education (ACPE), and is an approved training institute of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Description

SPSI offers four-year clinical and academic training programs in adult psychoanalysis and in child/adolescent psychoanalysis, and two-year programs in child and adult psychotherapy, as well as continuing education seminars, symposia and courses for mental health professionals, academicians, and interested members of the community at large.
