Mission: To engage children, and the people who care for them, in playful, creative, hands-on exploration and discovery. 

For 45 years, Seattle Children’s Museum (SCM) has been a pioneer of multi-disciplinary play-based learning through exhibits, programs, and events to local children (especially ages 0-10yrs) and their adults. SCM offers 14,000ft2 of current exhibit space, as well as offering staff-led and visitor-led daily programming, seasonal classes, camps, and other special events. SCM offers nurture child development, curiosity, and lifelong learning; teach content and skills in arts, STEM, literacy, civics, and heritage; and build creative, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. Located in The Armory at Seattle Center, SCM’s centralized location enables it to serve about 160,000 visitors annually from throughout the greater Seattle region.  In 2024, we provided over $400,000 worth of public benefit through our discount and access programs.
