2024 marks 10 years of SAFe!

This year, we're celebrating a decade of helping cats together! It's been an incredible journey, filled with amazing growth, heartwarming stories of transformation, and the unwavering support of compassionate kitty lovers like you. Last summer SAFe Rescue moved to a new home in Shoreline with twice as much square footage as our previous location--That means twice as much space for housing and feeding kitties, for medical care and recovery, and for helping community members care for their pets! Together, with your help, we can continue to grow our programs and realize the full potential of this space.

Meet Eddy: When you look at this happy guy, it’s hard to believe, but this senior cat has had quite the journey. A few months ago his outlook was not nearly as sunny as it is today. We first met Eddy at the end of February. He was surrendered to a municipal shelter in a high-risk area of the state because he was spraying in the house and a urinalysis had found blood in his urine. As a 12-year-old cat, his prospects at the shelter were not good, but our intake team identified him as a cat that we could help! Learn more about Eddy in the slideshow below!

SAFe Rescue's Mission

SAFe Rescue saves feline lives by taking in homeless cats, giving them the care they need, finding them loving homes, and supporting their human companions. We believe each cat has inherent value and that humans and felines enrich each other's lives. This bond builds compassionate communities with empathy for all living things.
