Mission

The mission of Sacred Heart Radio is to bring the light of Christ to the Northwest. We are committed to providing radio programming that glorifies God and leads souls to salvation.

Description

As Catholics we are called to spread the fullness of faith. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that the laity "has the right and duty, individually or grouped in associations, to work so that the divine message of salvation may be known and accepted by all throughout the earth." If you are baptized, you are called to draw others closer to the Holy Trinity. Sacred Heart Radio is a free and accessible resource for this holy work! We hear from listeners that it is a source of comfort and hope for many who are confined to their homes, care facilities, or prisons.

The Pacific NW has been referred to as "The None Zone" because of the high percentage of residents who answer "None" for religious affiliation. The region's population, many of them young adult professionals, are navigating life's difficulties without the benefit of the saving message of Jesus Christ. Sacred Heart Radio provides a virtual gathering space for the Catholics of the Northwest, who are a minority community.

Recognition

Sacred Heart Radio has the enthusiastic support of all the Catholic bishops of Washington State. Our board members include President John Traynor, Greg Russell of Peterson Russell Kelly PLLC, Steve Heidenreich, Bill Swedberg, Joy Beall, Deacon Eric Paige, Theresa Ferguson, Michele Ahearn, and our President, Ron Belter. Thousands of listeners have become listener-donors over our 20 years on the air. They are the reason Sacred Heart Radio is thriving today.
