Our Mission

Reboot Theatre Company tests new interpretations of established works through nontraditional casting, design, and methods yet to be discovered.

Our Story

Reboot Theatre Company launched in 2015 with an ambitious dream of the nation's first fully realized all-female production of 1776. For a decade, Reboot Theatre Company has transformed familiar classics into powerful, relevant experiences for modern audiences. From our acclaimed home-run hit DAMN YANKEES, to our provocative reimagining of CABARET exploring privilege and activism, we've consistently pushed boundaries. Our electrifying JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR examined fame and mob mentality, while our groundbreaking 110 IN THE SHADE subverted traditional gender roles and even made it rain on stage! For out 10th Anniversary season we had a raw, rebellious, punk-rock OLIVER! that gave fresh voice to a tale of survival and belonging, followed with an out-of-this-world ANYTHING GOES that boldly went where no Reboot show has gone before - Outer Space.

Our Impact

We believe theater changes hearts and minds. Every production sparks crucial conversations, cultivates diverse talent, and creates safe spaces where artists can authentically express themselves and grow. Our work doesn't just entertain—it transforms perspectives and builds community.

MAN OF LA MANCHA - Told through a feminist lens, and performed by an all women/TGNC ensemble, our production of this classic musical explores the ongoing fight for women’s rights, including the pivotal battles of the 21st century. Both urgent and hopeful, this powerful reimagining asks, “What does it mean to dream the impossible dream when your voice, your rights, and your choices are at risk?”

PIPPIN - This reboot boldly reimagines Stephen Schwartz's iconic musical Pippin under the canvas of a 1930s traveling tent revival. A world where miracles are promised, tribulation is certain, and the line between salvation and surrender is razor thin. In this reimagining, the Leading Player becomes a charismatic Preacher, and the Players become the Revivalists, true believers who guide Pippin through war, politics, and pleasure in search of a life of purpose and transcendence. Or do they?
