Queen Anne Historical Society

The Queen Anne Historical Society matters.

We strive to protect and share our history to promote a sense of community as our neighborhood constantly evolves. 

We dedicate our energies to the preservation of buildings and places that tell the stories of the people of Queen Anne from the past to contemporary residents.  

We maintain photo and article archives, organize unique tours, hold free public meetings, track and nominate historic sites for landmark designation and write about the history of our Queen Anne neighborhood. on www.qahistory.org. 

We have protected many historically significant structures and places in our neighborhood. There are now more than 50 landmarks in the Queen Anne community. 

We provide a way to learn about our neighborhood. Our tours of the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and our "tree walks" attract many participants each year. Our October 2023 talk by Jeff Murdock about maverick architect Richard Reinert who designed one of our neighborhood's most distinctive residences sold out.
