Our Challenge

Every day, we receive another call, another email, from people who are struggling to care for their beloved pet and are searching for help to get them spayed or neutered. Or, they have neighborhood "community" cats that keep having litter after litter and they can't afford to get them all fixed. These people are overwhelmed, they want to do the right thing for these animals but can't do it alone.

Since a female cat can have her first litter at just four months old, and up to three litters per year with those kittens starting to reproduce in just a few months, the best way to end the cycle of repeat and accidental litters is to spay and neuter ASAP!

We receive upwards of 100 inquiries a month from folks looking for help; with skyrocketing veterinary costs, including at low-cost clinics, people are desperate for help.

(Pictured is Tyson with his dog Roxy. After living on the streets, Tyson was able to find housing once we helped get Roxy spayed.)

Our Goal

It's our goal to say Yes to these pleas for help and put a stop to overpopulation and suffering by providing at least 1,000 free or low-cost spay and neuter surgeries in 2023, which we can only do with your help.

As a state-wide organization, Pawsitive Alliance is addressing the urgent need to boost spay and neuter resources in areas of the state experiencing high-rates of overpopulation where caretakers, owners, and shelters are overwhelmed, and animals aren't getting the help they need.

We focus on serving the pets of folks who are unhoused, in transition, or financing dire financial constraints, as well as "community" cat caretakers in Puget Sound and eastern WA.

Can you help us meet our GiveBIG goal of raising $10,000 and directly help a pet in need?

1,000 animals are waiting, and counting on us to be there for them.

(These kittens received surgeries at one of our spring 2023 clinics, their caretaker can now focus on their care and not endless kittens soon to be born.)

Your Donations

Your donation to Pawsitive Alliance during this year's GiveBIG will support increasing spays and neuters through our sPay it Forward Fund, addressing overpopulation and suffering for community cats and pets of those experiencing homelessness or financial distress. Through our sPay it Forward Fund, we cover the cost of the spay and neuter surgery when folks can't afford the low-cost co-pays, plus, we organize free high-volume spay and neuter events and clinics in eight counties across Washington.

Surgeries typically cost $25-$200 each, and at times can reach $400 or more even at low-cost clinics, depending on the animal and clinic.

Your donation of any size is appreciated; choose to support part of one surgery, a full surgery, or even support a community cat clinic with a donation of $1,000.

We focus our efforts in the parts of Washington which are under-resourced and in crisis, where the numbers of unwanted litters are overwhelming caretakers and inundating shelters. Can you help end this cycle of suffering?

Give during GiveBIG and sPay it Forward!

We couldn't do this critical life-saving work without your support!

Thank you for helping improve the lives of cats and dogs across Washington State with your donation today.

Our Mission

To help end the euthanasia of cats and dogs in Washington by INCREASING adoptions, spay and neuter surgeries, and pet retention.
