The Challenge

Unwanted cats and dogs are filling our shelters due to lack of access to affordable spay and neuter surgeries; animal shelters, rescuers, and pet owners are overwhelmed and at capacity. Because of this, thousands of unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs in Washington are often left to suffer alone.

Our goal is to fix this by nipping it at the source. We know what is needed and what works - more spay and neuter surgeries that people can access close to them and that are affordable or free, eliminating those barriers. This is what we can offer, with your help.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise $10,000 during GiveBig to increase spay and neuter surgeries for pets of folks who are unhoused and those facing extreme financial hardship and can not afford the surgery costs. Additionally, we concentrate our resources on areas of the state with high rates of overpopulation but few surgery options.

Pawsitive Alliance works closely with private and non-profit veterinary clinics to offer spay/neuter surgery vouchers and to organize clinics so no cat or dog is denied this important surgery, both for their health and to stop pet overpopulation and suffering.
