Mission
The mission of NW Children's Foundation (NWCF) is to end the intergenerational cycle of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. We envision a world in which all children thrive in safe, equitable, and nurturing communities.
Description
Guided by the belief that all children deserve a safe and healthy start, NW Children's Foundation is a leader in the child welfare field, aligning resources, organizations and passionate individuals committed to ending the intergenerational cycle of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. In our fourth decade of making hope work for Washington families, NWCF builds a brighter future for children through two complementary programs:
1) Grantmaking - NWCF's grants support prevention, early intervention, and treatment programs to heal children, strengthen families and empower youth. Since 1985, NWCF has distributed over $23M to 330+ area nonprofits.
2) Educational Outreach and Convening - NWCF is stepping up its leadership role in convening multiple sectors of the community to improve solutions in child welfare. Our annual Forum brings together diverse players to connect and learn together, and helps create an integrated community network committed to building resilience in adults and children.
