Northwest Straits Foundation

Mission

To protect and restore the marine waters, habitats and species of the Northwest Straits region. We do this by increasing the capacity of local communities to protect marine resources, removing lost and abandoned fishing gear that poses a hazard to people and marine wildlife and restoring local beaches and bluffs.

Description

The Northwest Straits Foundation was established to leverage additional resources in support for citizen science and the work of the NW Straits Initiative. The Foundation raises private and public funds and manages large regional conservation and restoration projects.
