Description

Care, compassion and the shared commitment to provide a better quality of life for those with kidney disease have been at the heart of Northwest Kidney Centers for sixty years. Founded in Seattle in 1962, we are the world's first dialysis organization. We are the provider of choice because of our high quality services, community connections and generous donor support. 

We provide more than 280,180 dialysis treatments each year, for 1,941 patients who choose to dialyze in one of our centers or at home with our support. We also treat patients at eight area hospitals, as we have since 1981, and support more than 325 patients who choose home dialysis. Our transplant rate is 50% higher than the national average, with 72 patients transplanted last year. Half of our patients fall at or below the poverty line and more than half our patient population identify as BIPOC. We serve all people, and no one is turned away from dialysis because of an inability to pay.
