Our GiveBig Story 2024

for the Na'ah Illahee Fund

We started off this year in reflection and in celebration of the last 4 years - over this phase of the pandemic and recovery. While the need was great, this report also shows the rising up of the Indigenous-led grassroots movement in response to the needs of our times. Grant initiatives like Food Sovereignty and Rights of Nature are among the most popular, and we actively fundraise to meet this demand, year-round.

Our Impact Report 2020-2023

This GiveBig 2024, we are also honoring our long-time partnership with the Potlatch Fund through the Power of Ceremony Grant. A potlatch is a gift-giving festival and primary economic system practiced by Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada and United States. The word comes from the Chinook Jargon, meaning 'to give away'.

Please consider practicing Potlatch with us by contributing to Power of Ceremony grant!

This GiveBig season, we are also honoring our Executive Director, Susan Balbas, and this matriarchal line-up of women leaders in philanthropy at Town Hall this week. Please support these outstanding women and their organizations:

Susan Balbas, ED of Na'ah Illahee Fund

Nancy Long, ED of 501 Commons

Rachel Jackson, VP at Philanthropy NW

Valeriana Chikoti-Bandua Estes, CEO at Social Justice Fund

Kat Taylor, Co-founder and Board Chair, Beneficial State Bank

This is to Collective Power!

In Gratitude to You, our donors and friends.
