The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council's mission is to foster the arts in our community and schools to enhance the quality of life for everyone. We believe that we create community through the arts.  Our programs offer experiences in visual arts, music, theater, and dance.  When people gather to experience the arts, magic happens!

Who We Are – Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC)

The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC) is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to enriching our community through arts advocacy, policy change, and creative programming. Since our incorporation as a 501(c)(3) in 2000, we have worked tirelessly to create inclusive, accessible, and engaging arts experiences for Maple Valley and the Tahoma School District.

Our executive board and membership bring together expertise in community organizing and arts leadership to develop and implement dynamic programming that fosters creativity, connection, and cultural enrichment.

Our Programs & Initiatives

In 2025, MVCAC is proud to present a wide range of arts-focused events and initiatives, including:

Beyond events, MVCAC also takes an active role in community beautification and public art preservation, including:

🎨 Paint by Tunnels Program – Managing a volunteer-based maintenance program to keep community tunnels fresh and free from graffiti.
🌳 Pocket Park in Wilderness Village – Providing a welcoming public gathering space for the community.

MVCAC is committed to ensuring that all events are ADA accessible and, whenever possible, offered for free or by suggested donation—so that everyone, regardless of background, can engage with the arts. We take pride in creating opportunities for identity-defined communities to participate in civic life and cultural expression.
