We’re in the business of spontaneous joy
Jet City Improv is Seattle’s home for unscripted storytelling that sparks laughter, connection, and courage. Since 1992, we’ve created a space where people from all walks of life can play, grow, and be heard—on stage, in classrooms, and across the state.

Improv for Good: Real impact, real joy
Through Improv4Good, we bring free improv workshops to youth in juvenile detention and to kids navigating life-altering diagnoses or scenarios. This June, our summer camp season kicks off, bringing laughter and creativity to children facing muscular dystrophy, cancer, diabetes, and other serious health challenges. Improv teaches collaboration, confidence, and empathy—skills that stick long after the show is over.

Representation that matters
Running now through GiveBIG is Return of Joy Market, co-produced with Pork Filled Productions, Seattle’s longest-running Asian American theater company. Featuring an all-AAPI cast, this show celebrates Asian American stories, voices, and brilliance through bold, unscripted comedy. We're building a future where comedy is truly representative, and in 2026, we plan to expand with additional BIPOC-led productions. Our Test Flights program helps elevate new and underrepresented voices, offering resources and a stage for bold new formats and creative risk-taking. We also host recurring improv jams like Prism (for LGBTQIA+ performers) and Coven (for women and nonbinary improvisers), and monthly shows like IndieProv, expanding access for emerging and independent artists.
