Mission

Hilltop honors and trusts children, engages families, and inspires educators to create a more just and joyful world. Since 1971, Hilltop has been transforming early childhood education through play, collaboration, and reflection: in our classrooms with children, partnerships with families, and professional development with educators.

Description

As a nonprofit organization that generates our revenue almost exclusively through tuition, fundraising and donations are how we are able to raise funds to cover the operational costs that are not met by our direct service revenue. We would not have survived the trials and tribulations of 2020 without the thoughtful and generous donations of individuals. To ensure another 50 years of building on the wonders of childhood we need your support today.

Welcome to Hilltop Children's Center and Educator Institute, a high quality early childhood education,  preschool, after-school program, and professional development institute of early learning and inquiry serving the Seattle community since 1971. Together, we are working with the next generation of inventors, leaders, thinkers, artists, and social activists. Your donation today will ensure our positive impact continues into the future!

Fish Wish in the month of May

What is Fish Wish?

Fish Wish is our Annual Giving Campaign.  Inspired by the wishes that we make for our children and future years at Hilltop, our connection with the nature around us, and our childlike joy and wonder; we celebrate our community coming together each year in this fundraiser.

What are the goals?

We have three main goals for our Fish Wish Campaign

  • 100% family participation
  • $100,000 dollars raised
  • 100 donations from friends and extended families

What are the funds used for?

In short, granting our wishes!  The money we raise will be used to help strengthen our program so that children, families, and educators can continue having exceptional experiences in early childhood. Including but not limited to:

  • Making Hilltop accessible to more families
  • Educator wages
  • Classroom and outside materials
  • On-going Professional Development for Educators
  • Covering the extra pieces that tuition alone does not cover
