Thank you so much for your support of Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties. Because caring people like you support our mission, hundreds of families, veterans, seniors, and low-to-moderate income residents of our community are building strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. Your efforts make a difference at a time when the lack of affordable housing has reached crisis levels with ever rising living costs in Seattle and King County.
Mission
Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Your support provides families with so much more than the opportunity for homeownership. Habitat homeowners experience financial stability, improved safety and well-being, and upward economic and social mobility – laying a strong foundation for future generations.
Upcoming Event
We are excited to announce that Mike Macdonald, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, will be our featured speaker for the 2026 Beyond the Build Luncheon! This year's luncheon takes place on Wednesday, May 27th, at the Summit Building, Seattle Convention Center.
Coach Macdonald is one of the most dynamic new leaders in the NFL, and we’re honored that he will join us to share his perspective on leadership, teamwork, and building strong communities—values that perfectly align with Habitat’s mission. With Coach Macdonald confirmed, we are well-positioned to make our 40th Anniversary Luncheon one of our most impactful yet! Please see our website for more information: habitatskc.org/luncheon26.

Muhammad grew up in Afghanistan, spent time in St. Louis, and finally landed in Seattle in 2020. Muhammad is a Case Manager for a local non-profit, and he loves getting to work with diverse communities and individuals. For fun, Muhammad, his wife Uzra, and their two kids like to explore local sites and parks. In their new home, they look forward to not only feeling safer, but also to the increased space they will have and a backyard for their children to play in.
Through our Home Repair Program, Habitat provides critical and minor home repairs that alleviate health and safety issues for qualified homeowners in King and Kittitas Counties.

Lois has lived in her Bothell home for about 56 years, moving from the Midwest when her husband accepted a position as a professor at the University of Washington. Lois spent her career in education, and in retirement at the age of ninety she found it difficult to walk up and down her front steps. The Habitat SKKC repair team installed a railing, giving her newfound independence. They also installed a lever in her bathtub because her hands could not turn the knobs tightly enough. Lois says the work done on her home is "life changing. I appreciate it so much. It gave me back my humanity."
