The GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund is not just a regular scholarship program. It empowers LGBTQ+ and actively allied scholars to reach their full potential. For over 30 years, the GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund has been investing in LGBTQ+ scholars by providing financial awards, a network of support, skills-based workshops, and leadership resources.  

Over the years, GSBA’s Scholarship & Education Development program has invested over $7 million in nearly 600 LGBTQ+ students who exemplify leadership, academic ability, and community involvement. In 2024, GSBA also introduced the Workforce Development Fund, which provides financial assistance to LGBTQ+ scholars pursuing high-demand trades.  

By supporting the GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund, we can work together to build a world where everyone can learn - regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.

• Educational Workshops: Tailored sessions that cover a range of topics from leadership development to building a LinkedIn profile, ensuring scholars are well-equipped for the future. 
• One-on-One Consultation: Personalized advice and guidance are crucial. Our scholars can access scholarship staff and other resources for individualized consultation, helping them navigate challenges and opportunities. 
• Mentorship Opportunities: Matching scholars with mentors in their field of interest provides a unique opportunity for professional development, networking, and personal growth. 
• Scholarship Retreat: Each summer, we’ll gather in person for personal and professional development, social connection, and collective joy as a scholar community in what we call Immersion Weekend. 
• A Wealth of Resources: From textbooks to tech, we ensure our scholars have what they need to succeed academically and personally.
• Beyond Academics: Preparation for life after college is key. We offer support encompassing mental health, community engagement, and leadership skills to pave the way for a bright future.
