Mission

The mission of the Foundation for Tacoma Students is to build and strengthen Graduate Tacoma community-wide movement to help every child achieve success from cradle to college and career. Our vision is a Tacoma where every child succeeds in school, career, and life.

Description

A community movement of more than 350 organizations, Graduate Tacoma delivers a bold goal and unwavering belief in the potential of every child, regardless of background.

Most of the experiences and learning opportunities that shape a child's life occur outside of the classroom. Our movement closes the gap between school and home ensuring every child has access and opportunities for quality learning and growth. Kids need the community at different times. Graduate Tacoma is about reaching them when and where they need us. As the only cradle to career intermediary in Tacoma, the Foundation for Tacoma Students brings creativity and innovation to the complex and adaptive challenges that the students of Tacoma face. We believe this unique role lens is critical if we are to realize systems change in our community.
