Description

The Federal Way Chorale has 60 volunteer voices with many years of prior chorale experience. The talented voices of the Chorale give of their time for weekly group practices, sectional practices and private practice at home. The Chorale's Artistic Director, Thomas Almli is a Full Professor and Director of Choral Music Activities at Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA. He also serves as the Chairman of the Bellevue College Music Department. Almli is the acclaimed director of the award-winning Bellevue College Jazz Singers, Celebration and The Bellevue Chamber Singers.  The Chorale's Assistant Director, Mr. Brian Soushek, has worked extensively with musical theater programs at Thomas Jefferson High School and the Knutzen Theater and has a great deal of experience directing church choirs. as well as writing choral music. The Chorale's performances at Federal Way's Performance Arts and Event Center are accompanied by an orchestra. The Chorale also performs at Emerald Downs, Federal Way's Christmas Tree Lighting, Memorial Day Celebration and Blue Poppy Day Celebration.
The Chorale performs a very eclectic array of music from Handel's Messiah to Bohemian Rhapsody. From Porgy And Bess to Toto's Africa. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy!
