The Community Farm Land Trust (CFLT) promotes vibrant local food and farming systems through community-supported farmland preservation strategies, educational outreach, and partnerships that increase opportunities for farms and farmers to flourish.

Preserving Farmland Is What We Do!

The Community Farm Land Trust originated from the actions of a few passionate community members that were concerned about the future of local farms. In partnership with our community supporters, CFLT has preserved over 215 acres of farmland in the South Sound. We recognize a history of stolen land, displacement, exclusion, and inequity in agriculture. As a community land trust, we are dedicated not only to the preservation of land, but also to ensuring its permanent affordability, stewardship, and agricultural production. Our 99-year leases and conservation easements provide land security to farmers. This protects rich agricultural land from future development.

As a member-based organization, our success depends on the support of people who are committed to the future of agriculture and food accessibility in the South Puget Sound. We welcome a diversity of people to be involved as we work toward more equity in farming locally. Join us in keeping local farms growing now and for generations to come!
