End of Life Washington provides advice and support to people considering all end-of-life decisions, including Death With Dignity at no cost to our clients. Through education, advance planning, consultation with caregivers, and client support services, End of Life Washington upholds the right to excellent, patient-centered end-of-life care to ensure a peaceful, humane death.

Description

For more than 25 years, End of Life Washington's Client Support Volunteers have empowered Washingtonians approaching the end of life to make some of the most important decisions they will ever make. End of Life Washington provides information and support to people facing terminal or irreversible illness. We advocate for excellent end-of-life care, the use of advance directives, and patient-centered care. We uphold the right of qualified patients to use Washington's Death With Dignity Act. No other organization in Washington fulfills this role. Confidentiality is strictly protected. There is never a fee for our services. Each year we provide information, including our free advance directive packet, to thousands of individuals, as well as one-on-one support for hundreds of patients and families. We are a small and very effective nonprofit organization making a real difference by assisting people dealing with a terminal illness, pain, and suffering.
