Mission

The mission of Emergency Food Network (EFN) is "to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse, and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry."

EFN's Work

EFN provides over 75 Partner Programs with a million pounds of food per month, at no cost to them. This work is more crucial now than ever before as the need continues to rise. EFN's partner food pantries, meal sites, and shelters throughout Pierce County had over 3.7 million visits in 2025, which was an 18% increase from the year before.

Across Pierce County, a growing number of people are holding onto hope that soon, they can catch a break from the struggle of increased housing costs, rising gas prices, and exponential grocery bills. Families, seniors, and individuals are being pushed beyond what they can sustain. Food is often the first thing sacrificed, not because it matters least, but because there are no other viable options.

This is where you can turn hope into action. Every day, because of the support we receive from community members like you, hope takes the shape of full stomachs and relieved hearts. People all over the area come to our Partner Programs knowing they will be met with consistency, dignity, and care. What you make possible is not temporary relief. It is a system people can put their hope into.

Donate today and help us continue to ensure that no one in our area goes hungry.
