Mission

Our mission is to celebrate the performing arts, strengthen and inspire our community, and steward the development and creative use of the ECA campus.

Description

Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) is a thriving non-profit performing arts center that builds a strong community through outstanding music, dance, theatre, comedy and special performances from around the world. Located just 15 miles north of Seattle in a beautifully restored historic facility, ECA hosts more than 200 events each year at its 700-seat theatre, gymnasium, lobby, and meeting spaces, serving 90,000 patrons annually.

Creating inclusive and equitable art experiences is at the heart of ECA's mission. Each year we engage more than 10,000 youth in the arts through our robust Education & Community Engagement program, featuring Education Matinee Series, Summer Arts Enrichment Camps, Artist Residencies, and programs for youth with special needs. Our Arts for Everyone initiative offers $2 tickets to students, families, and seniors who live on low or fixed income. ECA's Dementia-Inclusive Series create opportunities for individuals with memory loss and their family members and caregivers to experience joy through music, theatre, and film.

ECA is proud to be a part of the City of Edmonds' vibrant arts community. In 2018, Edmonds became Washington State's first certified Creative District -- an honorary designation in recognition of its rich history in promoting and supporting the arts.
