The journey through cancer is one of daunting challenges that impacts every aspect of a person’s life. Medical treatment, side effects, and the uncertainty of outcomes can take a significant toll on a patient's mental health. While medical teams focus on treating the disease, Cancer Lifeline steps in to help cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family members and friends access vital support and resources.

What began with a caring volunteer at the other end of a phone line has evolved to become the region’s pre-eminent organization providing innovative programs and services, free of charge, to cancer patients and their loved ones.

Today we offer:

  • Telephone Lifeline and Online Lifeline Chat
  • Mental health counseling for individuals, families, children and healthcare workers
  • Support groups tailored to specific cancer types such as Ovarian Cancer Support Group, as well as population-specific groups like Young Adult Caregiver, Young Adult Cancer, and BIPOC Cancer
  • Teen expressive arts group therapy
  • Financial support services for low-income cancer patients
  • Educational programs; such as exercise & nutrition

The caring, listening, and supporting has continued without pause since 1973 and is the heart of what Cancer Lifeline does every day.
