Mission

BLFA's mission is to help cure children in Africa with cancer.

Description

BLFA believes that every child, no matter where they live, deserves the same access and services to cure their cancer. BLFA is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides grants to local NGOs and healthcare partners in Africa who work directly with families and cancer patients. With our partners, we advocate for what these children and their families need focusing on medical, logistical, and social support so that children can complete curative treatment and return home.

Recognition

BLFA could not achieve our mission without the generosity of our partners and donors. We are honored to work with dedicated, passionate, and expert teams that share our vision and interests. These include: Uganda Cancer Institute; Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center; PhenoPath Laboratories; Beckman Coulter Foundation and Beckman Coulter Life Sciences organizations; AMPATH at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kenya; Direct Relief International; A4A Accounting; University of North Carolina, Project Malawi; International Cancer Care and Research Excellence Foundation in Tanzania; St Mary's Hospital - Lacor in Uganda; and, Uganda National Health Laboratories.
