Mission

​Our vision is to blanket out pediatric cancer. Our mission is reduce the suffering of children and their families who are dealing with pediatric cancers.

Description

Created in memory of, and as an everlasting tribute to Jordan Avi Rinde, of blessed memory, Blankets for Cancer, is Kirkland, Washington based organization (granted 501-C3 status).​

We provide socioeconomic support for patients and families to help cover uncompensated costs associated with pediatric cancer treatment such as rent, car repairs, groceries,  utilities, and  travel costs Our support extends to parents and loved ones so they can navigate the unforeseen costs and stress of the pediatric cancer experience. The economic pressure of being a pediatric cancer patient is enormous. One of the most important outcomes in pediatric cancer treatment is reduced psychological suffering that children and their parents endure.

We provide services and give emotional boosts to patients and families like by supporting special events and occasions like birthday parties and special outings.

Our efforts include supplying children suffering from pediatric cancer with one of Jordan's favorite blankets, hosting charitable events like dinners and races, and promoting pediatric cancer awareness.

The blanket has a special meaning to us all. It symbolizes the comfort we hope to create and symbolizes our vision to put-out pediatric cancer once and for all.
