Give Big to Beacon Arts!
$1,765 Raised
Enhancing Beacon Hill community through local arts and cultural activities. We create inclusive and accessible opportunities for artists and audiences of all genres on Beacon Hill by activating underutilized public space. Beacon Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit. We led the community effort to save Garden House, including its gardens and 100 year old pear orchard. Historic Seattle has purchased the property. Seattle Parks has placed an easement on the site which prevents future development. Historic Seattle is doing repairs and working to open the grounds to the public and will offer the space for rental through their new anchor tenant in 2023.
We need your support to be able to bring cultural programming to Garden House and continue our on-going programs.
We have been an all-volunteer organization since 2010. We want to make the most of this new opportunity and continue our current work. We plan to help activate Garden House and hire staff to build our capacity to sustainably serve the Beacon Hill community.
We support artists to create work and perform in our richly diverse community. We re-opened both Jefferson Park Amphitheater and Roberto Maestas Festival Street. South End Public Market connects local artists with patrons to help them remain in place and help enliven our community. We exist to assist artists to be visible and heard.
We do it with your support!
We are also grateful for Sustained Support from 4Culture, Welcome Back Grant from Seattle Parks Dept and funding from Seattle Department of Neighborhoods!
