Mission

The Austen Everett Foundation (AEF) works to provide kids battling cancer with an inspiring, empowering and uplifting experience through a dynamic alliance with professional and collegiate athletes, athletic organizations and communities.

Description

The Austen Everett Foundation works to empower, honor, and inspire kids fighting cancer through the strength and support of Professional and Collegiate Athletic Teams, Athletes and the Athletic Community. Since our founding, over 1,000 kids have experienced once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to benefit from the powerful support the team environment provides as they stand-in with athletes on the field or court as the Honorary Team Captain.

During this time of pause in the Athletic Community, AEF has pivoted from providing powerful on-field experiences to addressing the immediate needs of our cancer fighting kids during the COVID-19 crisis.

Through AEF's COVID-19 Response Initiative; we are providing over 1,000 face masks to our immunosuppressed cancer fighting kids and their families. In addition, Professional and Collegiate Athletes are providing personal video messages of strength, admiration and love to inspire our kids throughout this challenge. Hospital partners are benefiting from expanded opportunities of support from AEF's Corporate Partners such as Love Your Melon with their 'Smiles Inside' boxes of beanies and hero capes for in-patient cancer fighting kids.
