Aero Methow Rescue Service cares for people in the Methow Valley by providing emergency medical and preventative health services. 

Description

Since 1968, Aero Methow has served the people and communities of the geographically vast Methow Valley as its only nonprofit ambulance and rescue service.  Our duty and commitment to our community is to be ready to respond to the call for help. Sometimes these calls for help are life threatening and minutes make a difference, although most of the calls are non-life-threatening emergencies where we assess the patient and help them make the right choice based on their current situation. We serve a rural, remote, geographically isolated and health resource scarce area which adds multiple factors in decision making. It is essential to take the time to listen to the patient and hear their fears and concerns. More than half of the requests for our services results in a non-transport. Non-transport calls, also known as Treat and Refer, are not billable services, although they come at an expense to the organization. Support from donors help us continue to provide this essential and vital service.
