$25,000 Goal

Thanks so much to everyone who has made a donation so far this GiveBIG! In the final hours of this special season of support we're pushing to a stretch goal of $25,000! Every dollar counts as ACT supports the development of new works and nurtures local artists.

Mission:

A Contemporary Theatre is where artistic ambition and civic engagement unite.

Description:

Every dollar donated through May 4 will be matched up to $10,000 by ACT Board Member Leslie Bernstein and Michael Bernstein!

With the support of our community, we are so thrilled to have reopened our doors this winter to in-person audiences! So far this year we have delighted in presenting a reimagined production of A Christmas Carol, the World Premiere of Yussef El Guindi’s Hotter Than Egypt, and the spine-tingling The Thin Place. We are humbled to have borne witness to the groundswell of investment from donors that made this reopening possible!

Because ticket sales make up less than half of what costs to do the work of ACT, your donations are as important as ever. Please donate today through GiveBIG to support our production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sweat and our joyful return to a full season of programming later this year!

We envision a world where the power of theatre expands our understanding of community. As an artist-centric contemporary theatre, we work to ensure all artists shaping our culture have a voice in driving the theatre of tomorrow. We are bringing artists into ACT’s leadership and closing pay gaps. We are partnering with organizations and artists from communities underrepresented in mainstream theatre across the nation and on Seattle’s stages. We are working in service of contemporary theatre, new works, and local artists.

To live our mission to the fullest, we have put the tenants of EDIAB (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging) at the center of all our work. This work is ongoing; it is not the work of now, but of always. We are working towards becoming an anti-racist, fully accessible, multicultural theatre that is truly welcoming to all.

We hope that you will be a part of this joyful vision for an inclusive theatre by and for all of us by donating through GiveBIG!
