Since its founding in 1974, YouthCare has been a pioneering force in serving runaway and homeless youth on the West Coast, offering a safe haven and a path toward a brighter future. The organization’s vision is clear: to create a world where no young person faces homelessness, all youth can thrive, and systemic barriers are dismantled. This passionate commitment drives YouthCare’s work every day.

For 52 years, YouthCare has set national standards for excellence by developing best practices and programs that serve as a model for others.

YouthCare provides a comprehensive continuum of personalized care for young people ages 12 to 24 that includes street outreach, drop-in services, emergency shelter, education and employment programs, and housing pathways. YouthCare ensures that young people experiencing homelessness are safe and have the resources they need to gain skills, begin to hope, and build the self-confidence they need for long-term stability.
