Lacrosse: It's More Than a Game
Seattle Wolfpack Lacrosse is a community-based, not-for-profit program with a clear mission: to grow the game of lacrosse across Seattle by giving every young athlete — regardless of skill level, race, background, or family income — a positive, life-shaping experience. We teach more than stick skills. We teach sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for opponents, and the confidence that comes from pushing through challenges together.
Lacrosse has deep roots — it was given to the world by Native peoples as a game of community, healing, and spirit. We try to honor that origin by keeping it exactly what it was always meant to be: a game for everyone.
Seattle Wolfpack Lacrosse is one of the most dynamic youth lacrosse programs in the Pacific Northwest — and one of the most accessible. More than 300 families across Seattle are part of our program. Boys and girls from kindergarten through 8th grade learn to play and compete through a program built on a simple but powerful idea: every kid deserves to play.
Our K-2 program introduces the youngest athletes to the game each spring. As they grow, players move into the 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th grade divisions, developing skills, friendships, and a love for the game that often carries them well beyond Wolfpack.
For many of our athletes, this is where an exciting pathway begins — to high school varsity programs, competitive travel clubs, and college rosters across the country. Lacrosse is a genuine vehicle for higher education, opening doors to scholarship opportunities and college access that might otherwise remain closed. We take that responsibility seriously — and it's why we are committed to building what comes next.
While Wolfpack has built a successful, thriving program, there is so much more we can do. The potential to grow this launching pad and serve youth from every demographic is enormous. That potential is what drives our vision for the future.
Help Us Build What's Next
We envision a city where lacrosse is woven into the fabric of every neighborhood — where a kid from Rainier Valley has the same shot at the game as a kid from the Eastside, and where Wolfpack Lacrosse is the program that makes that possible. We envision a program that supports vibrant public and private high school teams across our community — where coaches know that Wolfpack players will arrive prepared to compete and understand the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. We envision a program that is a model for youth sports organizations nationwide.
Getting there requires investment in four areas that will define the future of this program:
Access & Equity — We believe no child should ever sit on the sidelines because of cost. Our vision is a program where scholarships, free introductory clinics, and culturally connected outreach make Seattle Wolfpack a genuine home for every interested family — regardless of zip code or income. That means meeting families where they are — and where they live — and removing every barrier that stands between a kid and the game.
Player Development — We want every Wolfpack athlete to walk off the field more confident than when they walked on. That means building a development ecosystem that supports players and grows with them over time — through position clinics, peer mentorship, and training resources designed for every skill level. It also means keeping players engaged year-round through a strengthened off-season calendar of tournaments, skills clinics, and drop-in scrimmages that sustain momentum and deepen player commitment.
Coaching Excellence — The coaches who commit themselves to youth lacrosse in Seattle are the backbone of our program. We want to build a deep, diverse, and well-supported coaching community — investing in programs and resources that elevate instruction at every level. Our goal is a coaching culture that ensures kids are receiving the best possible instruction while instilling a love for the game.
Community Growth & Outreach — Lacrosse belongs in every corner of this city, and we are committed to bringing it there. Through outreach, community partnerships, and on-the-ground demonstrations, we want to take the game directly to neighborhoods across Seattle — with a particular focus on historically underserved communities. We seek to cultivate the game at every level — from supporting PE lacrosse curriculum in elementary schools to helping build robust lacrosse programs in our public and private high schools.
