Whatcom-Skagit Housing

Whatcom Skagit Housing has helped hundreds of families build homes since 1976! The Mutual Self Help program teaches families how to build homes. Working in groups, the families create sweat equity lowering the cost of their home. Over the last 10 years, funding for the program has been reduced while the nation's housing supply is at crisis low levels.

This program has created many jobs, invested and revitalized neighborhoods and stabilized housing costs for low-income families.
