GiveBIG is a statewide fundraising campaign that brings together individuals and organizations across Washington to invest in our communities. GiveBIG 2026 kicks off on April 28 and culminates in a 24-hour giving event on May 5, 2026. 

Who We Are

Washington Wildlife First is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming Washington's approach to fish and wildlife policy. We're committed to shifting the state's wildlife policy from an exploitation-driven model to a science-grounded, democratic framework that prioritizes care, consideration, and respect for wild animals and their ecosystems. We believe that wildlife policy should reflect the values of all Washingtonians, not just special interests, and we're working to bring about a paradigm shift in how our state approaches wildlife protection.

Our Fight for Wildlife and Democracy

The struggle for wildlife protection is inextricably linked to the fight for democracy. When the leadership of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) silences advocates and pushes policies that benefit only special interests, they threaten the foundations of our democratic process.
