Washington United Migrant (WUM) is a community-led organization supporting migrant families across Washington to build connections, access, and support.
Many of the women we work with, especially mothers, are navigating life in systems that are difficult to access in their language and often feel isolating. This can mean missing critical information about healthcare, schools, legal rights, and local resources, while also carrying the responsibility of caring for their families with limited support.
Since launching in November 2024, we have directly supported 390 families across Washington and trained 44 community promotoras who carry this work forward in their own communities. These promotoras are trusted community members who share information, host workshops, and provide one-on-one guidance, helping families access support in a way that feels familiar and culturally grounded.
We’ve seen something powerful: when women are given the tools, knowledge, and support they need, they step into leadership in their communities and help others do the same.
With your support, we can:
Your donation goes beyond supporting a program, it builds a community led by women who uplift entire families.
Join us in making that impact.
The Washington United Migrant is a nonprofit program hosted by Evergreen Social Impact, a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor organization (EIN: 86-2954398). Questions regarding the relationship between WUM and ESI should be directed to receptionist@evergreensocialimpact.org
