Washington Trust for Historic Preservation

A nonprofit organization

Mission

The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is dedicated to saving the places that matter in Washington State and promoting sustainable and economically viable communities through historic preservation.

Description

The Washington Trust works to preserve historic resources and promote the cultural, economic, and environmental benefits of preservation through advocacy, education, collaboration and stewardship. While the Trust is headquartered in King County, we serve all of Washington by providing technical assistance and in some cases grants to grassroots organizations across the state working to preserve local resources. In addition to our work in the field, we advocate for good preservation policy by educating legislators about the value of preservation.

Our programs include:
- Washington's Most Endangered Places
- Washington State Main Street Program
- Maritime Washington National Heritage Area
- Youth Heritage Project
- Valerie Sivinski Fund
- And more!
